USER PREFERENCES

New language packs

Four new language packs can be selected from the user preferences: French, Russian, Polish and Spanish.

New NEXT design theme available

Process Module

Displays a list of all processes in vtenext.

Search function

The same Search key is used for global as well as specific search functions, according to the
module being used.
For example: from the Trouble Ticket section the user can search a term in that specific section,
in the entire CRM system, or only among the tickets available.

BPMN

Advanced functions for drawing up BPMN processes / scheduling campaigns with BPMN

Processes can be rewound and repeated

For each entity involved in the active process, it is possible to return to a previous step by selecting it from those available (for further details please refer to the BPMN User Manual).

REPORTS

New reporting options (newsletters and clusters)
The REPORTS module now includes:

New reporting options (newsletters and clusters)

REST client web service settable from vtenext
REST web services connect vtenext to any other compatible, external platform. SDKs can be set for external database updating without any obligation to use them. URL addresses can be retrieved through the parameters.

Version check and import/export functions for modifications to MODULES, PROCESSES, PRO-
FILES, ROLES.

All new settings for modules, processes, roles and profiles can be saved, generating a new version (e.g. v.1.0). Versions can be exported or imported during setup operations to improve security.

PHP 7 support

vtenext is not compatible with PHP 7 support

Table fields

In Module Manager> Layout Editor, a new TABLE type field can be added. It consists of a number of fields through which data can be entered on the same line, thus optimizing the way information is displayed. By default it comes in the form of a single line, with field headings. To add other lines, click on ADD LINE.

Individual lines can be either duplicated or deleted.

TARGET

Automatic target synchronization

With this new function it is no longer necessary to update a target in order to manage a newsletter. The target will be updated automatically in two different ways (as selected by the user):

MESSAGES

Multiple SMTPs can be associated to a single email account

In the Messages module, a different SMTP can be configured for the outgoing mail of each account.

MOBILE APP

Activities tracking functions using the mobile App

The mobile App tracks activities in order to automatically create calendar events and/or tickets.

The ‘START’ function is available by selecting the three points on the right. ‘PAUSE’ and ‘END’ can be selected from the same menu.

ADDITIONAL OUTLOOK PLUGIN

New entities can be created and connected in the Outlook plug-in

The update to version 18.05 provides for the addition of the section relating to the functionality for correct management of the GDPR directive.

All the features and innovations introduced are described in chapter n.7 and n. 18.3.3 of this manual.

 

1.6 vtenext Business 18.12 Release Note

NEW INTEGRABILITY

vtenext becomes more and more a platform able to bidirectionally communicate and connect with the other solutions  adopted. This is a relevant feature to allow the spread of the CRM logic and processes in all the areas of the organization.

New standard REST API to ease the integration with other systems, implementation without temporary token and important improvements of the log in procedure, all this together with further developments (meta-done solution), make vtenext a complete solution able to communicate with all the solution used within the organization.

Automatic updates from the interface
This makes it easier to keep the system constantly updated so new functions can be released more frequently, with milestones for any technical constraints (e.g.: PHP Version)


Addition of BPMN engine
1. Deadlines Management: dynamic periods can be set up in the process timers, such as: 3 months prior to contract expiry date, etc.
2. Send Notifications: the centralised notification system can be enabled from the process for single notifications or by cycling through a table field
3. Transfer Relations: related entities can be transferred (1:N) or copied (N:N) from one record to another
4. Cycle Related Entity Tables: makes it possible to cycle a table field present in records connected to the record currently being processed
5. Date functions:

6. PDFMaker: possibility of selecting entities and records to which to link the PDF and especially the template in the language to be used for creation of the process PDF
7. Dynamic form attachments: you can upload a file from a popup menu/dynamic form; the file is related to the process parent record
8. Reading of extended web service client attributes: in the case of multiple JSON results from WSCLI, all first level attributes of the returned object can be used
9. Improvements in usability and compatibility of the GUI process editor
10. Filterable and sortable processes list
11. Right side interactive indicator: as shown in the image on the right (Fig. 1), pending processes that require action from the user will be notified (web, mobile); clicking on the icon will make it possible to view the complete list of pending processes.

Desktop Notifications
On arrival of a new messages and conversations notification a system notification is displayed and can be clicked to open a detail tab for quick viewing.

New display mode: Dark Mode

Introduction of dark mode for the web version and mobile version not only gives the vtenext theme a modern look that is graphically consistent with the latest operating systems, this new function makes it possible to remove non-optimised legacy code between presentation layout/application.

VTEsync for Information Platform
One of the most significant functions introduced with version 19.10 is the native synchronisation with Salesforce®.

Miscellaneous
Approximately one hundred new functions and improvements have been introduced. In fact, these are the result of 10 months of continuous bug fixing. A changelog is provided so the changes can be viewed in detail.

BPMN engine improvements

1. Process History in detailview. In addition to the tab “Process graph” the user can find the additional tab “Process History” were can read in detail the execution of the process and it is possible to view which user performed a certain action and when.

2. Function relate email in ProcessMaker. It is possible to decide the entity to which relate the email sent by the process in more ways:
• Default -> The email will be related to the main entity of the process
• Other -> The user choses the entity

4. Log debug conditions. We added the possibility to activate the log debug with the aim to facilitate the dubug of eventual issues noticed when running the process.

5. Email send (Notifications, Processes, Email from Tickets) via new tail. The Email sending process follows now the standard procedure by following the sending tail. By doing so the execution time of the process is reduced because it doesn’t have to wait the sending.

6. ProcessMaker: added related entities in actions Delete, Relate, RelateStatic.

Process’ Product block actions

1. Copy line: it is possible to copy the product block from an inventory module to another, avoiding to use the SDK to report the product block from one entity to another.

2. Cycle product block rows and for each one row: create entities/enter rows/delate rows/send emails/sending notifications. It is furthermore possible to cycle the information of a product block in a table field and vice versa.

3. Add line from static/dynamic data directly in the products block. The function is similar to the one performed in a table field.

Message module

1. Scheduled email sending: it is possible to postpone the sending of an email deciding the new time and date.

2. Creation of contacts in the CRM for unknown email addresses: when responding to an email that contains an unknown address vtenext automatically creates a new contact

4. imap parameters and PEC option in mail converter: from mail converter it is possible to define a PEC email address and in the way the ticket will be created with the original mail, that is to say the one contained in the .eml attached file

All synchronization are in Beta version, therefore some fields and values may not be supported.


Klondike connector

Plugin available in settings to connect vtenext with the Machine Learning engine Klondike:

• Process discovery agents: analyses and identifies which are the commonly used processes in vtenext. Once discovered can be imported in the Process Manager to be further developed
• Classification manager: uses AI to guess the value of a field. Example: when creating a ticket the Category is guesses by analysing title and description.

Processes

1. The product variants are now available in the Process Maker

2. It is possible to cycle the records related to another record like as if it was a table field

3. It is possible to start a process when a record, N a N related to another record, is related (e.g. a process can start when a Contact is related to an Account)

6. Emails are transferred from a record to another, via process, in a simplified manner

7. The Process Helper allows the display of documents linked to the parent record

8. From this release on it is not possible to create Workflows. The module will still be available in read only mode.

Elastic Search

Better view on ticket comments

Comments view in the ticket module has been changed to allow an easier use with a right disposition of the "back and forth" on the left part for the comments written by the customer and in the right part of screen for the comments written by the user. Lastly has been added the comment's number already present in the customer portal.

Document and sub-folder

Has been implemented the possibility to create a sub-folder in the module Document, in this way users can store files like in pc. Accessing in a folder of the module Document it will be possible to create both a file and a folder. In the module head is avaialable the full path of the file currently viewed.

New search engine

The new search engine allows to search in all modules of the crm. Has been improved also the accessibility of the information resulting from the applied research.

Improved settingsPossibility to modify relation columns present in detail records of all modules. (Example: if we are located in a record of the module Accounts we can change columns present in contacts, Potentials, Quotations, Sales order, etc.);

    1. Possibility to change columns of the products block, present in the module Quotations, Sales orders, Purchase order and Invoice. This configuration allows to extend and decrease the number of columns with the possibility to add custom fields (Example: unit of measurement, count per package, checkbox, description fields or text fields, currency fields or number fields etc.).
      In addition with each created  fields is possible to manage formula for its valorization going beyoind the classic and of course still present PxQ (Price multiplied quantity);
    2. The new color scheme applied to view list, allows to color each list based on values, as we already now, moreover is possible to select the style through which color the rows, in details: we can color all the row, we can color a small part on the left, or just a fine line in the bottom of the record. Lastly is possible to adjust the color intensity, thanks to a slider that manage the percentage value;
    3. Has been introduced the possibility to reorganize the fields of each module, accessing to Settings > Module Settings, with a simple drag & drop. In the same manner is possible to move a field inside the block or between different blocks of the same module;
    4. Has been implemented the possibility to configure autonomously, interface side, an exclusive SMTP reserved for sending newsletter. In addition, is possible to set a specific address for bounce back email.

    1. From the module settings, is possible to change the number of columns present in the related modules.

From Module settings > Quotations, Sales Order, Purchase Order and Invoice , is possible to change the number of columns present in the products block, being able to configure the contents as well as the width of the columns. Finally is possible to use personalized formula to valorise the content.

    My files folder deletion  (Homepage)

    The folder My files present in the Homepage (activable from the user preferences until the previous version of vtenext) has been eliminated. Due to the upgrade of the vtenext version all including  files have been moved to Documents, in a folder called My private Files.
